“it doesn’t matter, it’s all fictional”
It is made by real people, effects real people with real emotions and connects them to their real lives.
“Our own age is essentially one of understanding, and on the average, perhaps, more knowledgeable than any former generation, but it is without passion. Every one knows a great deal, we all know which way we ought to go and all the different ways we can go, but nobody is willing to move.”— Søren Kierkegaard, The Present Age

Let’s tell a story where no one saved her soul. She did not borrow the grace of a lover until her own goodness bloomed in her chest. She did not inhale the protagonists’ pity like it was any kind of gift. She was a godmother and she loved, she bought broomsticks and teased and comforted, but this is not what saved her.

I miss that 2011-2015 Tumblr Vibes
Man what a time!
*exhales cigarette smoke* I’ve been here a long time, kid. I was here for the fall of tumblr user pizza. The first Mishapocalypse. The betrayal of Cole Sprouse. Hipster girl tumblr versus fandom girl tumblr. The fluffy chicken. Infinite chocolate. Cousin Matt. Moreos. “Always reblog David Karp.” My laptop background in 2013 was a picture of Tom Hiddleston saying “have you done your homework, darling”. Those were strange times.
I’m feeling very nostalgic for the days when I couldn’t live without tumblr… I wonder how many of my long time followers even log on anymore? Come back 😭
Anyone else missing the good old days when opening Tumblr in public was a terrible risk due to the high change of pornography popping on your screen?
